Graceful Halter Wedding Dress

Halter is a special design of the neckline used on wedding dresses. It is of a complete ribbon which connects the bodice through the neck. Halt always looks more graceful than other neckline style, because this design involves the neck into the whole look, and neck is a part which is best to reveal grace.

In most people’s minds, halter is of only one shape. On the contrary, simple-seeming halter is also of several styles, especially with different chest designs. The most common halter is matching a V-neck. Two straps stretch upwards through the collarbones and join each other behind the neck.

There exist other halters on the wedding dresses. One kind is additional accessories. The wedding dress is strapless originally, with a straight or sweetheart neckline. Then the designers add a beaded rope or colorful ribbon to the wedding dresses, forming another neckline in order to increase the ornamental effect and graceful feeling. This kind of halter is usually starting two ribbons in the external side of neckline. Besides, halter has other creations in its shape. Two ribbons make a crisscross in the front of the chest, or two ribbons form a knot bow behind the neck with some fabrics dropping naturally.
However, graceful halter has its disadvantages. If a bride wears a wedding dress with a halter neckline, the upper side will expand and the proportion will look worse in the visual effect than sweetheart or straight neckline, because the latter two styles always make people neglect counting the shoulder into the upper side. So if the bride’s upper side is a little long, halter is not a good choice.
